“When you know what to do but don’t do it, you’re running unconscious self-sabotage.”  Judith A. Swack, Ph.D.

The secret to effortless weight loss and maintenance is to care for your body with love, respect, and appreciation instead of hatred, loathing, and neglect. Easier said than done? Perhaps, but not as hard as you think if you have the right knowledge and techniques.

Willpower and conscious intention actually have very little to do with weight loss or maintenance. Whenever you ‘know better’ than to do that (negative behavior) or wish you weren’t doing that while actually doing that, you are at the mercy of unconscious self-sabotage patterns. These patterns supersede the authority and intentions of your conscious, rational mind and take over your behavior. When your conscious mind and unconscious patterns disagree, the result is struggle and conflict inside and negative behavior outside.

Examples of behavior caused by unconscious self-sabotage patterns include:

  • Losing weight over and over but gaining all (or more) of it back
  • Feeling resistant or hopeless about having to pay attention to what you eat
  • Difficulty beginning or maintaining a weight loss and exercise program
  • Eating for emotional reasons
  • Thinking about food all the time and worrying about your weight daily
  • Eating, spending, drinking, or doing something else too much
  • Feeling afraid to eat certain foods because once you start, you can’t stop
  • Addictions to chocolate, sweets, food in general

Judith, herself, steadily lost 35 pounds over the course of a year and has had no trouble maintaining her normal weight. When she began her weight loss program she hypothesized that:

  • There is no such thing as a ‘plateau’. If I stop losing weight it’s a sign of unconscious self-sabotage.
  • If I eliminate all my unconscious self-sabotage patterns as I lose weight, it will be easy to maintain my optimum weight because there won’t be anything left to sabotage me.

During the course of her own diet and work with others she indeed found these ideas to be true! She discovered specific patterns that people need to clear:

  • before starting a diet,
  • while losing weight, and
  • at the beginning of maintenance

to make weight loss and maintenance easy and lasting!

After treatment with HBLUTM, you will effortlessly eat like “normal” eaters by:

  • Not eating when you’re not hungry
  • Trusting your body to tell you what to eat and when
  • Stopping when you’ve had enough
  • Automatically eating like this even on weekends, holidays, and vacations

If you are having problems with your weight maybe HBLUTM can help you, too.
