One of My Favorite HBLU TM Patterns
Amy St. Hilaire, MA, MFT
I was a licensed therapist of 2 years when I started my HBLU TM certification training, and for the last 3 year I’ve been using HBLU TM with all of my clients. I am so grateful for this method of working with people because it is so empowering for me and my clients. It makes me a much more effective therapist because I’m truly able to help people clear whatever holds them back.
When I was first building my practice I wanted to be empathic with the few clients I had. I feared that getting confrontational would drive them out my door. I was not sure how to respond when people were not being “straight with me,” either deceiving themselves or me or doing things to really sabotage our work together. I was very happy when I learned seducer strategies, one of my favorite HBLU TM III patterns. These patterns allowed me to handle these situations gracefully and elegantly without judgment or preaching. In a seducer strategy people do manipulative things or hold certain attitudes which they think will get them what they are longing for... but this strategy NEVER works. It is just very frustrating, time consuming, and energy draining. I can often tell when someone is running a seducer pattern on me by how the energy drains out of my body. One moment I feel fine and the next I am ready to fall over.
Judith Swack, the originator of HBLU TM, has collected a list of 50+ popular seducer patterns that people commonly use. This list is enormously helpful in getting people out of their own way. For example, I had one client who had a habit of forgetting when her appointments were, coming a half hour late, not showing up, being upset about paying me for my time, blaming me, and complaining bitterly that I should be calling her to remind her of her appointment times. She could be very caustic, which truly threw me off in my first year of practice.
Using HBLU TM, we found she was running a seducer strategy called “I turn people into enemies by ____.” Her eyes got really big. She took a deep breath, got really honest about her behavior and filled in the blank with “I turn people into enemies by blaming them.” Ahh! There we had it. I could not have said it better myself. At this point, I breathed a sigh of relief and we aligned together, working as co-detectives to figure out what she was trying to get by running this on me and others in her life.
Because we found this pattern by picking it off a list “blindly” through muscle testing, it resonated once we both saw it. My client could step into it and name what she was doing. We were both spared another attempt by me at trying to “get through” to her about her own personal responsibility. We just worked through the pattern and she stopped sabotaging her therapy and our therapeutic relationship. We both found this truly empowering. Thank goodness!

HBLU TM Revisited
Karen Jackson Forbes, M.S., LMHC
I have been a psychotherapist for the past 30 years and began studying energy psychology, and specifically Healing from the Body Level Up TM (HBLU TM), twelve years ago with Judith A. Swack, Ph.D. I immediately integrated HBLU into my work with individuals and couples.
My clients and I like HBLU TM because it is client-centered. Through muscle testing the client’s deepest wisdom sets the goal and leads us through each step of the process. Muscle testing takes the guesswork out of the process, but also allows the facilitator to be intuitive and then check out what is true for the client. What I enjoy about the work is the variety of different patterns it addresses, the variety of different techniques we use, and the diverse issues it can address. I also appreciate how HBLU TM offers a tool box of techniques (including self-muscle testing) that my clients can use on themselves when they feel emotionally unbalanced or need to calm themselves from trauma.
I have been privileged to assist people in healing of traumas of all sorts (including ancestral and past life as well as blocked memories), and have found HBLU TM to be the most effective of the methods. I have also successfully treated people for long-term depression, weight loss, long term health issues, creating loving relationships, creation of meaningful work/soul mission, dysfunctional family patterns, and cultural and religious brainwashing. HBLU TM successfully frees people from the effect of their histories and limitations in their sense of identity, i.e. “the way that I am.”
The clarity of the protocols provides a thorough process that completely heals each pattern. At the end of each session, the client writes what he learned from the healing process. These learnings are often pearls of wisdom that inspire the client (and me). There have been remarkable one-session healings where someone clears a pattern that troubled them for years; and there have been the slower processes that have given people a new sense of self and the strength to move towards their life mission. I am happy to say that I have benefited both personally and professionally from HBLU TM.
